A Polish cultivar of interesting variegated leaves, green with yellow splashes in the middle that turn green in summer. Moderate growth strength. Recommended for domestic gardens and urban green areas.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: Leaves decorative, evergreen, ovate, green with yellow splashes in the middle that turn green in summer. Flowers attractive, small, 3 cm across, semi-double, white. Bloom abundantly in April and continues moderately until July.

HOW IT GROWS: Dwarf shrub; shoots trailing over ground. Develops root sprouts that take root eventually. Moderate growth strength, maximum height 0.15 m (annual growth 0.5-1 m).  Trailing shoots cover the ground densely.

WHERE TO PLANT: Prefers shade or semi-shade but copes well also in sunny sites.  Thrives in fertile, humus-rich, moderately moist and slightly acidic soils and tolerates average soil, too. Once established, withstands periodical droughts. Frost hardy (Zone 5a).

HOW TO PLANT AND MAINTAIN: Before planting immerse the plant container in water for 10-30 min. Place the root ball in a 40 x 40 x 40 cm hole with a 10 cm layer of well-rotten manure or compost, 0.5-1 cm deeper than it was before. Fill the hole with fertile soil. The plant should be located at least 30 cm from walls or other plants. Does not require pruning.

HOW TO APPLY: An excellent ground cover, especially for small areas. Recommended for domestic gardens and for urban green areas.

ORIGIN: Selected by Kazimierz Kulas, Poland.

AWARDS: Awarded gold medal at Plantarium 1994, Boskoop, Holland.
