Violet-blue, velvety flowers of about 13 cm in diameter composed of 6-8 tepals with a deep red-brown stripe. Attractive yellow anthers on creamy filaments. It holds on to supports with twining leaf petioles. Compact growth. Suitable for training up trellises, stakes and other supports. It can also climb up natural supports, such as deciduous or coniferous bushes or dwarf shrubs that don’t require hard pruning. Particularly useful for growing in a sunny position.
