Lilac flowers, shaded pink in summer, of 15 cm in diameter with pointed tepals and crimson anthers on white filaments. Sometimes semi-double flowers appear on old wood. Blooms in May-June, and again in August. It attaches itself to supports with twining leaf petioles. Compact growth. For best growth and flowers, plant in a sunny spot. Excellent for growing on trellises, stakes and other supports. It can also climb up natural supports. Suitable for container growing.
